Personal Information Your personal information can be very valuable to other people using the internet. They could use it to send you loads of spam or even for something called grooming. Your name, address, gender, e-mail address, phone number, school name or even a picture are classed as personal information. Be very careful as to what information you reveal about yourself if you have your own online profile, or even if someone starts an online conversation with you by asking 'a/s/l'? (Age, Sex, Location). To reduce the risks of anything bad happening to you over the net, it is a good idea NEVER to reveal any personal information about you or anybody you know over the internet. Even if it's one of your friends from school, there's always a chance a stranger could be watching your every move using clever computer software such as spyware.
